Forgot to mention the finish is epoxy resin. I have a big French point Dovo 55 8/8's that I have to find something to scale it in. I was thinking Samba Stag but the sets I have made before tend to be too heavy and unbalanced feeling. May do it in bone when I get some spare time to work on a project for me. Given my current work queue, that will be around fall.

Wow I love the look of that ironwood Burl, way to show them all at once to really make us jealous. I don't know if you have access to it but I have seen some really nice scales in giraffe bone, has a little more texture then cow bone, might be perfect for that monster Dovo your talking about.

love love love the detail on the Revisor blade but I think it's outdone by your awesome work on the scales.

The quality and beauty give me something to strive for in the future.
I went into sensory overload looking at each piece..
    Beautiful work!!

Sorry, iron wood with a epoxy finish is a "no go" for me. This wood is so fantastic, that it donīt need any artificial protection.
