Forgot to mention the finish is epoxy resin. I have a big French point Dovo 55 8/8's that I have to find something to scale it in. I was thinking Samba Stag but the sets I have made before tend to be too heavy and unbalanced feeling. May do it in bone when I get some spare time to work on a project for me. Given my current work queue, that will be around fall.

Thanked: 240Wow I love the look of that ironwood Burl, way to show them all at once to really make us jealous. I don't know if you have access to it but I have seen some really nice scales in giraffe bone, has a little more texture then cow bone, might be perfect for that monster Dovo your talking about.

The quality and beauty give me something to strive for in the future.
I went into sensory overload looking at each piece..
Beautiful work!!"We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm."

Sorry, iron wood with a epoxy finish is a "no go" for me. This wood is so fantastic, that it donīt need any artificial protection.
