Default Joseph Rodgers & Son Wedge Restore

I recive this razor few days ago and decide to restore it. The razor was in not so good condition and scales also, so I decide to do as down:

    1. polishing (I polished spine and tang in mirror finish and left blade satin finished)
    2. scales replacement with Black Buffalo Horn ones
    3. reduction pin hole from 3 mm to 1,6 mm
    4. honing

    Before:

    and after:

    It's litlle bit over 7/8.
I have to say also that bevel is almost invisible, almost, if we take in account that we speak about true wedge blade.

Great job. I like the two finishes one the steel. What did you sleeve the blade pivot with?

Looks brilliant, nice job there! I love Joseph Rodgers razors and have one very similar to yours, great to see these being given a new lease of life! That's definately a micro bevel going on there, you can JUST about see it in the fourth picture down just above the anvil. Thanks for sharing...

The razor was not honed when photos are taken. The bevel is very small but not so small as on the photos.

I sleeved it with brass tubes 3/32 and 1/16 bought from K&S Metals Round Brass Tube Imperial

Can I ask how you hone a wedge properly? Is it as simple as one or two pieces of tape on the back? I won't even say how I did mine now I'm on a forum of people who understand how to do things, you'd all be getting your pitch forks and torches ready to find me and confiscate my razors!
