Default Ready for another hundred years

My complements to all of the fine work and talent represented here!
Here is a "stocker", an old Wade and Butcher "Celebrated" with a peaked spine.
You know the feeling. You buy a bad picture on the fleabay and when it comes parcel post, in an envelope, wrapped in a paper towel, you open it and say: sheeeeeit!
I finally got around to it and can say with most certainty that it was mostly unused. No spacers and a bent factory pin! Worked 8 hours on it and am ready to hone it and take this puppy home! I did a light 600 greaseless on the spine and reverse tang, to remove some pitting, and polished it. The double collars kept sinking into the Bakelite, so it was unpinned and a 3rd collar added, along with some thin brass spacers, which worked nicely. Super tight! A fine old Celebrated resto! For me, anyway! I bet it hones up easy! Thx

    I rest my case.
