Default Second restoration, Gottlieb hammesfahr Soligen Foche 4/8

Hi, everyone I would like to show you my second restoration of a small but interesting little razor, to start with the blade was carrying a little rust and some staining, the scales although not in bad shape still needed a fine rub down with some wet & dry and a little polishing, the rust on the blade was around the tang and the pin holes, with a little on the spine and blade, also there were no internal washers, this probably didn't help the rust near the pins, so the razor was repinned and new internal washers put back, I like to think I used my restraint in not over working while restoring this razor, I am very pleased with the outcome just as I was with the first Crown & Sword I put together, I hope you enjoy the photo's.

    Jamie.

That's a nice looking razor mate, good job! Have you given it a test shave yet?

No I must admit to being a DE shaver, but I do enjoy looking and owning a straight razor, I have a few more vintage razors to restore, so more will follow this one.

    Looks ready to use
Curious it has a pyramid logo like the Geneva razors.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Great looking little razor, well done on the restore. The blade and scales have come up really nicely.

Thanks very much for your approval of my restoration, I have another comming up in the next few weeks, a Vintage Taylors 1000 witness, because I could not save or use the original scales I took it a bit further than this one, more polishing more finish with blonde scales, I will post maybe sometime next week.

    Regards
    Jamie.
