What a great thing to do with those scales. A clean job, that showers respect on that ivory. The pinning looks just like it should, perfect. Beautiful.

    Hey Tom,
That is an amazing amount of work. What an accomplishment brother . Beautiful job on each and every one of them . I love them all (even though you're sub consciously taunting me with them ).

    Tom,

You've given a wonderful homage to two fabulous blades. The vintage ivory scales look as if the blades were meant to be scaled in them, and the blades cleaned up to work a vision. I would never guess these were not brand new blades.

I'm sorry to hear you'll be away for some time; your contributions will be sorely missed. That said, this restoration was an incredible way to go out on a high note!

Thank you, Gentlemen, for the fine complements! Comments from men such as yourselves are very encouraging and rewarding. This makes the work most worthwhile. I shall be back to Restorations and surely SOTD in some time, but duty calls for now! My most sincere regards, Tom
