Default Retauration of Joseph Elliot (Best Silver Steel) Wedge straight razor

    Before restauration work:

    Scales made from African Blackwood:

Blade after polishing with Fromax Greaseless 80-120-180-320-400-600 (thx. Glenn), also pin hole reduction from almost 4 mm to 1,6 mm can be visible:

    Wedge grind:

Blade mounted on scales with adjustable pins and before final polishing with Dico compounds (on it's way to me):

Note: the photos are different because in meantime I made little home photo studio

Nice job man!! Love the pin repair. First I've actually seen! I've read it discussed here, and heard of guys using it, but haven't ever actually seen it. Good job!!

    Happy Shaving!

Now, I have hard time thinking, leave blade satin finished as it is now or give additional polishing to mirror finish?????

Really nice work, I like the satin finish on the blade. +1 to Baldy's comment on the neat pivot sleeve, very tidy.
