I got these scales as NOS german from another website. I really have no idea what it is. By texture, I would believe it is the same material as the scales.

I couldn't get the staining out of the inside. I practically sanded away the interior of the pivot area trying to get past the staining, but it just keeps going. I gave up on them as just not worth it.

    Thanks!!!!!

I sent this razor to my friend cudarunner to play with for a while. Roy honed it up and shaved with it a few days. She's on her way home now!! I sure appreciate everything my friends have done for me on this website. What a tremendous group of shavers we have here. BPOE!!!!

    Have a great Sunday mates!

Mike's razor took a Great Edge! I'm no Lynn, Glen or any of the other great professional honers out there, but I'm very proud of the job I did for Mike.

I have an addition to this story!!! Roy has given me a great gift: a few stones to try my hand at honing with!!!
And!! I have an excellent razor as my baseline right here. This puppy shaves excellent and I hope to be able to create an edge at least this good.

    My best to all!!
