I put on a W&B blade and they are super light and have some flex but no feel of breaking. I like them alot so far.
I think I will dissasemble it and clear coat it over the weekend.

Went a little different with the scales. Instead of just a clear coat I used a crystal clear epoxy resin with a blue dye in it and filled in the scales. I think they turned out cool. I'm going to install them on my Wade and Butcher small wedge when I finish them.

How did you put the epoxy into the holes?

I first glues the scales to some very thin oak and then poured the epoxy into the holes like little cups.
Then after 24 hours of drying time I sanded the oak of the back and.....tada stained glass scales MAGIC.

I liked the scales before the epoxy, but now I think I like them more. Nice job.

Well I bot my Wade and Butcher blade scaled up in "Bubbles" Let me know what you think. The blade shaves great, I used to have it in Lucite scales until I finished these.
