Thread: W&B "the celebrated" under construction

today i found a W&B the celebrated in a antique shop near the house... i also found a B.J EVRE & CO'S "challenge" razor that will be redone after the W&B.. and also a huge MJ HIGGINS...

anyway here are a couple before photos... devils spit and a tiny notch in the blade that fortunately came right out *(with a tiny kiss from the 3" bench grinder) trying to set a bevel on the blade right now while i decide what wood i want to make the scales out of....





and after a bit of polishing...

Can't wait to see them all when you are done with them. I have a huge soft spot in my heart for Wade and Butchers.

Man I wish I had some good shops around me. I got crapola!

we don't have any good ones.... every other shop was wanting 2.5times retail......... seriously... i saw several razors in the 10-15$ range *(actual value)... they were wanting 35$+ for them....... and would not budge.....

hope they enjoy those razors rusting away silently on their shelves....

saw 2 strops worth having.... 50 for one 60 for the other....... they were both worth 20ish......

totally unrealistic sellers.....
