Thread: Meat cleaver restoration

The small knife is finished. Making the handle was the hardest part. specifically, making a straight cut along the grain of the wood was challenging. The wood is teak, finished with a couple of layers of CA. I chose teak because it can handle moisture much better than other woods.



I am now grinding and sanding the big knife to prepare it for heat treatment. Now I also need to modify my forge to get it hot enough for heat treatment.
