    Default Sheffield Kamisori Kropp?

Just finished this little project, I had a broken Kropp I kept from a previous restore, and a few lenghts of Sapele hardwood, and a couple of red fibre liners i purchased some years ago thinking one day I would have a go at making my own knife, but they ended up on the Sheffield Kropp, I have honed this razor and it's the first razor that will pass the hanging hair test right along the whole length of the blade, I must admit to being quite pleased with myself for that, I know there's a school of thought that says that dont mean a great deal, but that as been my goal since I started honing my own razors, and that's only on a 6000 and 8000 stone then my two strops, I may invest in a 12000 stone in the future but who knows. well I hope you enjoy the photo's.

Very nice! I have thought about doing that myself.. Of course I lack the initiative, creativity and basic skills to....but if I had those things, man i would so make one better than yours!

Very novel and looks excellent too! Did you cut out the oversized thumb notch (effectively making it shoulderless)? I take it the razor didn't look that way originally.....

You are right it didn't look like that when I first had the razor, it was in super condition, after I had restored it, I was about to finish it by honing the razor then I drop it on the floor breaking off a piece of metal towards the back of the razor, so I decided to grind that off along with the toe as well, without any idea what I would eventually do with the razor, then this came to mind.

    Regards Jamie.
