Default Custom 10/8 Damascus In Buffalo Horn

    Hello,

Here is a custom Damascus (Pattern Welded Steel) in Buffalo Horn that I just finished up. I hand hammered this Damascus blade on the anvil here in my shop out of 1095 and 15n20. 15n20 is similar to L6 without the chromium. This is a 10/8 blade and the scales and wedge are Buffalo Horn. Very hard but it takes a wonderful edge.

I shaved with it this evening and I can tell you IMHO it was excellent. I enjoy large razors and this one certainly did not disappoint. Weighing in at 2.8 OZ it is very maneuverable and feels agile in the hand, for a large razor that is.

I do appreciate you taking the time to have a look and let me know what you think of it.

    Best Regards
    Kenny

Kenny, that is one nice looking lump of razor. Excellent work on your own Damascus steel. I like the decorative wedge pin. Well done.

    Kenny,

I think all of your razors are stunning, and this is no exception. I think the barber's notch is a nice touch too!
