DUUUUUUUUUDE ! That's fantastic! That's the first straight I ever bought. $5.00 at a flea market. Rusty and trashed. I spent hours and hours hand-sanding the pits out before realizing that I didn't have the skill or ability to ever finish it. I'm so glad I sent it to Glen to restore it. Can't wait to see the rest when they're done. You guys are in for a treat.

Great job! It looks as I have gone back in time 150 years and stepped into a razor shop! Amazing!

Great job Glen. As much as I am not a fan of Sheffield wedges I am a fan of what you do to them
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Full Custom Restore on this one, using what I think are some of the most beautiful Honey Horn blanks that have crossed my bench from Masecraft...
I used the 3M Tri-m-ite sandpaper to polish the horn, the Lead wedge is from a set of Vintage scales
Pins are Nickel Silver and I used stacked SS washers to hold it all together with new Brass bearing washers inside....

You've done it again Glen ...I love seeing 150+ year old steel look like it almost rolled off the factory floor.

Another Vintage restore I actually kinda remembered to take before pics I started on one of the scales then went back and got the camera to take the pics ...
Before :
I polished out the horn scales using the 3M-tri-mite paper the MOP cleaned up with some very gentle polishing starting at 4k... I did a full polish on the steel which I was very happy that all the pitting and rust came off of...
Used the Tri-Metal washers and pins and new Brass bearing washers...
The wedge needed a tiny bit of fitting adjustment and some polishing but other then that she went back together very well...
After:
