Yea, more scales...
Here's a few more sets of scales I finished up today. I apologize for the dust. I left my tack and buffing cloths at the shop but at least there's no fingerprints this time...LOL
The first is Buffalo horn with some cool striations, w/Turquoise wedge.
The second is a poly acrylic synthetic blend backed with Black G10 w'Horn wedge.
The third is Birdseye Maple lined with G10 and an old lead wedge, finished with Ren. Wax.
The last was just a set of Black Marble acrylic that I burned in a Paisley patterns and filled with gold fill paint and sealed with Ren. wax.Last edited by CTKnife; 08-31-2011 at 10:46 PM.

Very nice! I really like the piece of horn you've selected. Great job & thanks for the eye candy. Don.

That Birdseye Maple would look good on a vintage Thiers-Issard.

Thanked: 1371I really really like the ones with the paisely pattern. They look like they belong on a razor.
You melted that? Did you have some kind of plate with the relief cut out and stamp it, or do it by hand?
