Thanked: 114Keen Kutter in Lignum Vitae
Here’s another CA finish I completed today – my third CA project overall. This one's a Keen Kutter in lignum vitae with a mahogany wedge. The lignum vitae had more of a green hue to it before finishing. After finishing most of the green gave way to shades of brown. Had I known this I would have picked a more contrasting wedge color. I like the outcome, but it is a bit more “pedestrian” than I was hoping – hence the “blue collar” photo motif.
Thanks for reading. Enjoy.

Thanked: 267I was thinking about using lignum vitae for scales also. It is a heavy wood for sure but I was wondering if it is waterproof even before the finish was applied? Bummer the green color went away! Very nice job.
