Default My take on the mirror finish.

Finally got myself some polishing stuff and tuned the first razor I restored. It's a Simmons Hardware Keen Kutter with the german blade, probably made in the 1920's. The polishing was done with a hammer drill (I really need a rotary tool) and felt rotary tool polishing wheels. Gave it the final shine with some Turtle Wax. I left some pitting on the blade as well as on the tang. I think it gives the blade a certain ruggedness (is that a word?) and preserves the original shape. I also repinned the razor again, cause I just thought the pin heads and washers looked like the way I made them the first time. Took quite a few phone calls to get the right washers. The small stuff is rare around here, but now I got enough stocked for my future projects. They are just the right size for the pins I use and just so much more aesthetically pleasing. Please check it out and tell me what you think.
That's what it looked like before: http://straightrazorpalace.com/custo...n-rescale.html

This is after performing my voodoo:
