    This one was done with a grinder, I started with a Dremel but didn't get a nice sweeping curve to it, and didn't like the look I was getting so I switched out to the grinder...

    Nice save! Looks the business and those scales go great with it! Did you take it slow with the grinder to save the heat treat/temper or go to town on it and re-do everything?

    Well done! Once I had a similar problem, I used lazer welding to fix a crack. But your solution is better.
