    I got a go board a long time ago with bloodwood; a really beautiful object. I blame that board for my overall obsession with the wood.

    Ultimately, the only thing that matters is the finished product. You learned a great deal in the process, which is a great extra. I usually just learn one thing on each project - you learned many things, so you are probably already ahead of me, with just your first razor. Congratulations on a job well done!
