Great Link Oz, The double Concave mention in that patent, makes me think he is talking about what became the "Bellied Hollow" ...
The straight razor - Straight Razor Place Wiki

But I have some of those, and have honed even more, on this razor the edge is not hollowed ie: no double hollow grind the bottom 1/8 inch is closer to a wedge grind ????? There was a W&B that I am searching for the pics of, that had much the same grind it was stamped "Waldorf" IIRC I also saw a Genco/Geneva with this grind.. It really looks like they took a 6/8 razor and cut the hollow with a wheel sized to cut the hollow on a 5/8 razor leaving the bottom 1/8 inch

From reading more of the Patent, sections 25-30 about the "Hamburg Grind" that describes what I am seeing here, but that is not what I have seen on razors stamped "Hamburg" wooohooo another razor mystery

That'd be right. More old cutler's tricks, just to keep us on our toes.

Interestingly I just realized the Geneva that came in the mail today have the same kind of double grind, just a tad more subtle, very interesting. Shaved very well!

They have a bit different feel, but I haven't been disappointed with the few shaves I have on the razor at all...

I don't know how I missed this thread, I usually look for your resto threads. That is a gorgeous razor, and as usual you have done a super job on it. I'd keep that one too.
