Default Handmade razor from Anton Elistratov, Russia.

Possibly, it can be interesting for somebody.
Some time ago, I received the razor from Anton Elistratov to evaluate his work. It was his first razor. He make knifes for a long time and want to try razors.
So, the razor was made from Russian Х12МФ steel, it's near D2 steel.
Handle: buffalo horn, bronze. Handle is very thick and heavy.
The blade is 19.5mm(.76'), thickness of the spine 4.1mm(.16').

It's a beauty! Classic styling! the hammered tang and deep jimps set it off nicely. The scales are really nice. They appear to have brass liners with something between the brass and the horn? Nice! I would love to evaluate one!

The 'round' jimps look great. Nice blade with very interesting scale combination, pity its so heavy. I like the overall look.

    Interesting work.
Though it looks a bit unbalanced with the thin blade and the heavy scale liners.
Imo that is just the inexperience with razors, because the craftsmanship looks excellent.

I really don't know if I'm more impressed with the razor or the scales!!!

This is a very impressive production! My compliments!!!

    Again! Fantastic work!

Looks like it could be a very good shaver, and if the steel is simular to D2 tool steel it also would be a good choice, my only concern, and this is a personal thing, the scales seem a little heavy duty for me, but the blade looks great, great job.
