This Kikuboshi is really pain to hone.
First i did my normal honing rutin on it i have no problems with the smile and shave was really bad.
Then i took a look at scratches on the edge and i cud see the 1k scratches was not removed at all.
That steel is just super hard !!!
Even on my super fast coticule slurry do not get dark.
After i re honed it 2 times the edge was in perfect shape and shave was super smooth and nice !
Some of these Japanese razors just have ultra hard steel and needs to spend much more time on the hone.
But after that you will be rewarded
