Nice work! I bought a DD a couple of weeks ago in similar shape. The scales were trashed, but the inlays/bolsters were salvageable. The blade on mine has slightly uneven hone wear, but it's not too bad.
Do you have any advice on making the contour of the scales material match the contour of the bolsters? I've not started making the scales for mine, but I have been thinking a lot about how to match the contour.
