'Mikes Hammer' Douglas Cutlery Custom
Here are some shots of my new custom from Douglas Cutlery.
I'm not a pro photog, so please forgive the picture quality. I am improving over past efforts, but I still am found lacking.
I am in love with this razor and cannot wait to try it out tomorrow. The balance is incredible, and the heft of the razor is the greatest of any I currently own (about 30 now).
The box that came with mine is hand made specifically for this razor. The two things driving this razor was my name, friends call me 'Hammer' and I'm known on the gaming forums and in games as 'HammeR'. Hence this razor has been named: Mike's Hammer . Doug inscribed a small hammer into the blade for me. The other, which Doug didn't even know about, is I collect all things Eagles. Razors, watches, knifes, pictures, anything to do with eagles. Fate made him place an Eagle Emblem on my custom made box. Beautiful!!!
The crafted micarta scales very tastefully match the contours of the razor beautifully. Excellent work!
The worked back is incredible, and the near wedge design makes for a wonderfully smooth shave. I can't wait!!!
Ok, here are some pics:
I'm very pleased with the craftsmanship and the attention to detail.
Enjoy!!

Thanked: 1371Gorgeous razor. Congrats!
With the photography - to fix the yellowish coloring of photos: look for a white balance setting on your camera. Most phones even have one.
If it just gives options, try tungsten or a picture of a lightbulb. If it gives numbers, try one of the lower numbers. (yellow light is warm, blue light is cool - setting the color temperature number lower "cools" the lighting)
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

That is a beautiful razor Mike! I know the anticipation of using a new blade. Do let us know how it shaves.

I followed that on facebook, very nice indeed. It's prompting me to consider a new custom built razor soon.
