    Default Giving Clauss some Class

Emboldened by my recent success with first real attempt at repairs, I took this damaged Clauss to the grinder. It was missing close to a quarter of an inch of the business edge of the toe. I took it from a plain ordinary square point, down to a muted square point, and decided that simply looked to plain, boring, and ordinary. So I dressed a radius into a grinding wheel, and gave her a nice old fashioned barbers notch. I tried to pretty up the top side by putting a pentagon shape on, but the pictures dont show it well. (using my cell phone for all pictures) This was certainly more complicated, but I am pretty happy with how well it turned out. Name: ClaussFix2.jpg

And Clauss razors are really good, and under rated IMO. I will hone up and take a test shave tomorrow. =)

I hope I can get my couple of clauss's to shave decent. I guess more time in the hone and strop will bring them around.

Shave finally in, and it was less than optimal. Clauss needs another go at the hones! I DO seem to have a harder time of the American blades.
