great razors!! Jim did a great job on the photo too.
Are the woods stabilized or do they have a finish on them?

Thanked: 182all but the ironwood is stabilized
some times i lie to put a CA finish on the handles and others the high satin finish jsut seems to look better
just wanted to add that i do coat all the insides of my razors jsut to help with dampness near the blade
with CA on the inside of the scales water beeads up and can be blown out with your mouth. if the handles were uncoated the water coudl wick into the wood a bit and hang around longer giving it more time to rust a bladeLast edited by L R Harner; 11-27-2011 at 02:38 PM.

Simply beautiful razor Butch. They all capture your style and love of the craft. Are they all sold or might number
1 be available? Or will we need to give Beverly a call?Bob

Thanked: 182still nose to the grind wheel and having fun doing it
so far as stabilized wood doo us all a favor and buy it from a good source as the home brew stuff is shaky at best
K&G and WSSI are 2 places that will stablize wood that you have and they also have sales of wood on site but for hand picking alpha knife supply and burl source are good to go tho mark at burl source has longer blocks better for razor makers

You could never describe those three as the terrible trio that's for sure, more like the fab three. great looking razors.
