Reshod Packwood.
Shod in purpleheart. Finished with only ren. wax.
My only complaint is I wish I new more about this blade and when it was from. Will be honing this tonight.
Enjoy

Hi Bruce, The purple heart scales match the blade nicely.

The blade looks like a shaver! Nice work!

Great restore. +1 on Grant's question, what is the wedge material? Is it brass?

The wedge material. It's steel actually. I was originally going to use a solid copper wedge but I didnt think it looked right. The wedge is actually 2 piece of steel glued together.
It was what I had at the time.

According to Lummus, Packwood would be circa 1828.
