W&B 7/8 - Black on black micarta, silver lined wedge.
If I was a better photographer you would be able to see the "Fine India Steel" etching on the blade, hence the non mirror finish.
But enjoy. Black on black micarta, silver lined wedge.
Merry xmas.

Thanked: 14I appreciate the blade finish; I feel some of the older blades, especially Sheffield blades, often get their character buffed right out of them. The contrast with the scales is beautiful--very nice work.

Thanks all. My nature was to keep sanding until every blemish was gone. I'm really glad that I got talked out of it. I think it keeps in perspective just how old some of these actually are, which for me is part of the appeal.
Shaves great too, by the way. It took a long time to hone but it was worth it. I'm so used to shaving with full hollows this was a nice change. It's a christmas present for a friend of mine, so hopefully they feel the same.
