Beautiful job there! I have actually bought one with the very same markings as yours. Perhahps with some time and effort I will be able to make it gleam like the one you have there.
It's just corn syrup... Warm, blood flavored, corn syrup ...

you need 3 pastes of Unipol ... coarse, fine, very fine. Take a Proxxon and felt wheels .. not more. sandpaper to 1000
