Thanked: 1Joseph Rodgerson & Son wedge rescale
This is a bone custome rescale slightly different shape from the original scales with a bone wedge to match.
This was my first restoration.
It was bought with a lot of 8 razors from ebay.
Now i think i am definately a wedge razor man.Last edited by chimera; 01-09-2012 at 02:32 PM.

Youve done a fine job! Very nice. I have been looking for a razor to restore myself but have not had to much luck bidding one on Ebay. I guess when the one comes along thats meant for me I will get it. Again VERY nice job!

Thanked: 14VERY nice restore chimera! The scale materiel seems the perfect fit for the blade, and I'll echo about being in the wedge camp... scritch-free shaving!
Good job--time to do another!

Thanked: 1072Beautiful work, I'm a wedge man myself.
Did you make the scales yourself from a bone?

Thanked: 1I had a strange old lump of wood that had been paneled all the way around with bone in such a way as to sugest a test piece. and when i took them of it was nice and even thin strips about 3mm thick, the only thing i had to do was trace the shape of the old razor scale and miss all the pining holes and there where quite a few.

Yes, That is a good job. I always say: "once a wedge man, always a wedge man" ! Of course there are exceptions!

I rest my case.
