Default Couple of Sheffields in Horn

Here are a couple I just finished up -

A Lyon Sheffield - customer just wanted new scales as the original were busted. Matched the original scales with black horn and used the original lead wedge. Pinned with brass/brass. This one took a fantastic edge and better than most sheffields I've encountered.

5/8 Joseph Smith Wedge - This one is a true wedge and had a lot of rust/pitting to begin with. Most of the pitting was removed and the blade was brought up to a mirror finish. The scales were made out of brown/blonde translucent horn with a bone wedge.

It came from masecraft USA. Can't remember if it is the honey ox or buffalo translucent ones as I normally order a bunch of all their horn blanks when I do. Probably is the translucent ones, but no blank is completely alike (which is why I love horn).

Really like that second one. That translucent horn is VERY attractive.
