Thanked: 21I made the ebony veneer. I cut 2 1/8" thick blanks of the burl on the table saw, then 2 slightly thinner blanks of ebony, and I used gorilla glue and clamps to join them. Then I used a bench sander to get the ebony side as thin as I wanted it. It's good lookin, but its there for function-the burl wood is weak and lining it makes the scales stronger.
