A Joseph Elliot, A fine old gentleman
This is a Joseph Elliot's Best Silver Steel Razor. I purchased it in a lot from our favorite auction site (no names mentioned) on the cheap. This is my second restore.
He was in rough shape, the poor old guy didn't even have clothes and they beat the begesus out him. So I scrubbed him up, dressed him up and he didn't turn out half bad. LOL. But on a serious note, he did take a lot of work to get him to a mirror finish. His clothes are made from walnut and the wedge is made of cherry, both of which I stabilized to the best of my ability. He's been finished with a tung oil finish over the hardened walnut. I haven't gotten around to honing him yet, but I'm looking forward to the shave.
My camera works not the best, but I thought I present to my fellow members, for his first appearance a fine old gentleman.

Good you're helping to care for the elderly like that!
The old fella still cleans up nice. (wife says the same occasionally)
Enjoy it .. should be an excellent shaver .... or imaginary friend
Regards, Mike
