    Thanks not only for sharing this with us, but for not buffing out that great patina! I know folks go back and forth on when to buff, but I really like the texture the decades have given this surface. Great work!

    Very nice! I have been on the lookout for Canadian blades. Just one question...is it a microtome? The third pic sure looks like one.

    Don't think so. The grind is totally symmetrical and slightly hollowed. Did they make microtomes that early?

    I have never seen an early blade like this one, that is so big!! Great restoration by the way!!
