Thanked: 13249Heirloom Custom Restore - Little Valley Knife Association
So this one came in from one of the guys over at TSD lucky so and so got an Heirloom
I need help to identify two razors | TheShaveDen
There are some pics in that thread there, plus the ones Ryan sent me
Before:
Wrong scales, Broken point, Chipped blade... I honestly told him I wouldn't invest the money, but it is after all an Heirloom razor, so we went forward.. I know if I were fortunate enough to have an Heirloom blade I would probably do everything I could also...
After:
Scales: Amber Flame acrylic I chose this color as I have always felt it lends a vintage look
Wedge: Faux Ivory
Pins: Brass
Washers: Brass
Fixed up the point, and managed to save all the stamps too, polished out to a pretty darn good satin with just a couple of battle scars left but ya gotta look hard
Hones: Chosera 1k, Henckels 1-3-8, Thuringen
Thanks for lookingLast edited by gssixgun; 03-07-2012 at 03:37 AM.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Thanked: 14A great save! As I scrolled past the two "before" pics (and not reading carefully) I thought that you just needed help identifying this worn-out razor. I didn't realize it had that much vibrancy left inside! And great choice on the scale color. GJ!
