    Nice work Joe. Love the look of it. Modern Midevil!! How was the honing with the hardness and what do you think it is(or have you measured it?)

    Thanks for the kind words everyone! Much appreciated.

    Paul -
    Honing was actually just fine with this one as I think after heat treat and the tempering temperature I used it should be around 61 HRC. I have not had it tested. It actually is just a bit harder to work with in the annealed state before heat treat. Filing was tougher and it really isn't easy on bandsaw blades to cut out the blank. I really liked the test shave off it a bit better than O1 I've used and similar to 1084.
