Cool Henckels Friodur - In Jade Ghost Built to order

this really was built to order, in fact Mark aka Speedster was standing right next to me in the shop while I made the new scales..

It was kinda different having somebody right there getting their input about colors and finishes as I worked, Mark picked out every detail, from the shape, to the pins, to the materials, even the extent of the polish.. Tons of fun with good company..

    Razor: Henckels Friodur
    Size: 8/8
    Scales: Micarta
    Wedge: Red Pearl Acrylic
    Pins: NiAg
    Washers: SS double stack
    Inside washers: Brass
    Center Post: Silver

    Honing: Naniwa progression

Sweet, brother! Your pictures really show off your fine craftsmanship. That last one is the money shot! I love it, Glen! Thanks again for inviting me into your wonderful retreat below the Selkirks.

I'm slow to shave tonight but stay tuned, and I'll have a report on how she shaves.

And she shaves with a butter-smooth edge! No nicks or cuts. A great two-pass shave. Once again, Glen, thank you for turning that Friodur into a wonderful shaver with superbly balanced scales. That red really pops!
