Thread: J Mappin and Sons in black horn

Here is probably my third full restoration, I bought a scabby looking J Mappin and Sons off ebay awile ago for $36 and I loved the way it looked with the Frame but it was in super rough shape as you can see by the before pics. I hand sanded from 80 gritt up to 2000 and did the same on the newly shaped horn as the old wood scales were not worth keeping although I did keep the original shape as much as possible. I used nickel pins with brass washers and a mother of pearl wedge I had left over from a Waldorf I did. Hope you like.
