Thanked: 49Custom of a friend with scales by another friend. :D
This is what i got lately.
A friend of mine made the Blade out of a sketch from me. He did it really well but the hole in the angle is on the wrong place. Thats why it cannot have a typical classic scale. For me it doesnt matter as the scale maker did a fantastic job on it. For me it fits 100% to the blade. Scales are made of horn.

Thanked: 170That is one cool looking razor. I've made knives out of files, but haven't tried a razor yet. The blade and scales fit together very well. Congratulations on a nice custom and good friends.

I like that razor a lot, it has a lot of character to it. That kind of work appeals to me.

Very cool. I like the file crosshatch that's still on the spine.

Yup dig it. Agreed it has character. I think it kind of cool that it was made from an old file. Recycled and now a lifetime use razor! Have you got to use it yet?

I've always thought that there was something awesome about knives and razors made from files, especially when some of the character of the file is maintained. Kind of like refinishing a piece of old furniture without sanding out all the dents and nicks.
