Thanked: 9"Garland" Gotta brand new bag
I've been meaning to post this razor for some time now. Its a Garland Cutlery "Improved Eagle Brand Razor" It's 1/4 Hollow 6/8" black celluloid scales with a huge chip out of the dumb side severing through the pivot hole. Came with orignal case, that was beat up too. For the restoration i started by polishing the blade up to 8000 grit...i left some pitting in the blade because i did not want to loose the etching. The scales are a blue acrylic "jumbo" pen blank. Double stacked brass washers, shimmed the pivet hole, and brass wedge/spacer. For the case i fixed up the blown out ends thanks to mickey'ds napkins and elmers glue, and then sanded and painted to match the case. I had about 5 hours in this restoration. What a great shaver!

Nice Work! The scales look great with the brass wedge and stacked collars! Good save on the blade too, not to mention the box fix!

That's going above & beyond fixing the coffin. Nice job
Like the slim scales & close fit for the blade.

Great job Ryan, another fine job. I count myself very lucky that I can call you up anytime I have a question. I'm not sure that I would have stuck with straights otherwise. I can't wait till we get started on my Wade!
