I used a combo of things. Started with some testors enamel paint, and a super fine tip brush. Used a steady hand to the best of my ability and got a rough fill. Used a Q—Tip lightly coated with thinner to clean up the area around the letters. This took out a good amount of paint in the letters off too so I let what remained dry first and repeated the process. Toward the end I wrapped my finger in a clean rag with another light coating of thinner and then pulled the rag tight and lightly rubbed over the entire surface to remover all the paint from the surrounding scales.
.
The last part took off to much in some areas so I used a pin dipped with a dot of paint and touched up what I could. Some areas are so small this is the best I could do. I ordered some Rub N Buff for another razor, if that works better I will let you guys know

You could have used Tamiya acrylic and water instead, followed with a sealant of future. Might have been easier on you, and that future is great stuff.

I will have to keep that in mind. I had what I used on hand and their is only one decent hobby shop in Manhattan that would carry Tamiya paints...to impatient to order and wait!!

Let us know how it hones up and shaves when you get finished. I've seen them on eBay but stayed away because of the size of the blade and worry about balance. Thanks

Johnus, I have one and they are fantastic! The balance is perfect and the steel is amazing. My spike is probably my favorite razor.

Oh man, I was originally telling my self I would sell these in the classifieds to get them good homes where they will be used again. I have 4 at various stages and now the realization of RAD is evident .... I want to learn to hone though as sending them out to members is great, but the cost and waiting period will frustrate me over time :P

OK, decided to sand it down and polish it up! The scales and pins are all original still.
