    Default 7/8 stubtail

Hey guys, Just tinkering around and threw this together.
It was inspired by the recent I-Barber razor threads, and after not being able to aquire a "stubtail" reasonably my only option was to put one together.
The blade is 01, the scales are micarta, I made domed washers for the first time and the spacer (not wedge) is UHMW.
I tried my best to make this razor look all of 200 years old.
I have been struggling with my honing lately but even with the dirty grind on this bad boy, I was able to hone to a very respectable level, and shave very comfortably.

As one of my "practice" razors, it serves its purpose, and I got my stubtail
    Thanks for looking!

    Very Cool!
What did you grind it with?
It looks like it has a ridge left at the spine? or is that the photo?
    Great work!

That's a very cool looking razor. I have an I-Barber razor and I have not been able to get it to give me a good shave yet. It's being very temper mental. I'll probably end up sending it out.

    Good job on yours.

I have an 1X48 belt grinder with an 8" wheel, there is no ridge thats from being honed with no tape.
    Thanks

It's not yours until you put your monicker on it my friend... If you croak it goes to the nameless blade pile.. If you mark it it becomes a heirloom.

Damn you didn't show us that at the meet. Looks great but you need to start putting your mark on them.
I have a very old and cool set of stamps you could use.

Amazing job. I love the 'aged' look.
