    Default American Kinfolks 5/8 restoration.

This is a lovely American Kinsfolks USA 5/8 square point full hollow ground i just finish restoring, i believe the razor to be around 1930s or possibly 1940s, they were made in New York if i'm not mistaken by the classic American pocket knife manufacturer Case of Case knives, i've kept everything pretty much original with nickel silver pins and stainless steel washers, including new internal washers, the scales a very fine in thickness, so i would warn anyone who eventually ends up owning the razor to be careful when closing the blade, other than that she a fine example of her time, very finely ground blade and extremly sharp. Perhaps you guys can tell me a little more about the razor?

    Jamie.

Beautiful work, sir. Looks fresh off the line, perhaps even better.

    These are awesome shavers..

There are part of the Case family of razors

    Kinfolks, Cattauragus, Case, George Korn..

If you find one try a Kinkolks "Top Notch" believe it or not they acually have a thinner grind

That's a nice example of a Kinfolks, Jamie. The database says ca. 1927-1957 for manufacture.

Glen helped me find mine off of EBay that needed very little restoration work. I honed mine off a Naniwa progression finishing off at 12k, and that edge is something else. A fine example of N.Y. steel for sure! Enjoy your Kinfolks; I sure love mine!

Great job as always. I only wonder if there is a slight frown on the blade or it is the light playing tricks on my eyes?

Nice job! American steel from New York was super! Add Burrell Cutlery to that Case family list!
    Good Work!
