Found this nice Mappin & Webb locally.
It wasn't in bad shape, I was going to clean it up and use it but I broke the original scales during removal.

So that made a perfect opportunity to try my hand at a custom job.
Scales are purpleheart that I intentionally didn't 'bake' so that the purple remained subtle.
Wedge is made of zebra wood.

Brass pins, pivot pin is stacked stainless and brass. Wedge pins are just brass with stainless.

My only problem is that I can NOT get the blade to centre in the scales. I tried minor adjustments by tapping the opposite side of the pivot pin, but no luck. Any suggestions would be great!

Oh yeah, and let me know what you think.
