Finished razor for the week of 072512
Hi guys,
I've been busy this week saving razors as usual.
Here is a collection of 5 razors that I saved this week. All were bad, some worse than others. I have before and after pics on most of them, but that would be way to many pictures, so I thought a collective shot of all of them would be cooler.
Several of these will go up for sale, and a couple I am keeping for myself. The Pumeto and the 7 star hammer are staying in my own collection.
These are: A W&B 6/8 in faux tortoise, a Duane Cutlery D-325, a G. Johnson 7 Star Hammer in antique Horn, a Kraut & Dohnal in vintage Celluloid with a lead wedge, and the 13/16 Silver Steel Pumeto #28.
I've been working on these since last Saturday and I'm just about to begin the honing party.
I've done enough hand sanding in the last 5 days to last a lifetime!! LOL.
Everybody is in their original scales, cleaned polished and waxed. Most have been pinned with brass pins, but a couple got Micro's in the interest of not drilling the holes out larger. My brass rod wouldn't fit in a couple. Go figure. ???
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the eye candy/razor porn. I sure enjoy posting them up.
Have a great day!!

Nice work, Mike! I see you are keeping the best for yourself! I see many old scales, German in particular, which a 1/16 rod will not pass thru. I usually take a pin vise with a 1/16 bit and gently drill them out by hand.
Neat Pile!

Nice job on the razors. I like the Johnson 7 star.
