Thanked: 20That is extreme looking! I like it, it looks very archaic. Really neat blade, and absolutely awesome work!!!

Thanked: 170Really nice work. I made three some time back that were similar. The problem I had with them was they were hard to strop because of the part of the tail between the blade and the end of the scales, when I tried to finger flip them, there wasn't enough room for my thumb and forefinger. Does yours strop ok? I'm going to change my design a bit next time.

Well, stropping isn't so bad, you only have to go a bit slower with this one. The grip on the tang is about okay, because the end of the scales are about as thick as the tail and tang. But yes, you can't really speed strop this baby because of the design
I did it about 60-70% of my normal speed, and it was ok that way, it isn't awkward fortunatly.
BTW, nice razor you have thereLast edited by jeness; 08-21-2012 at 06:26 AM.
