    they used to make them in Japan, I have seen a few.

    @OP:The razor looks great, adding scales makes storage so much easier.

    Having never used a Kamisori, am I correct in assuming that the non bevelled side should always be next to skin? If so, and assuming use with one hand only, this must involve some pretty strange ways of holding the razor for some areas of face and neck. Does that fact that this is a folding version make that any easier than a non folding?

    Great piece of work by the way.

    I use both sides and have great shaves. The only thing I have noticed is that the angle of attack on each side of the kamisori is different.
