Maxotte custom scales.
This is a little project I have just finished, using a vintage razor from my collection, now I started with a piece of black horn, and with no real idea where I was going to end up I kind of like this sort of work usually something good comes out of it in the end, well I started with the horn and a nice piece of blood red acrylic which I used as the wedge, I still had no real idea of what kind of design just yet, It just happened during the shaping of the horn on the sanding belt, then onto the build still didn't know what set up I was going to use, so I decided on stainless steel washers and nickel silver pins, well the project kind of grew in stages I'm more than pleased with the outcome, hope you like the finished razor.
Jamie.

Top work as always Jamie. Calling her Puffin is a great suggestion. I still haven't started on my scales yet, but fear not I'll be in contact if/when I get stuck
How's the Duck treating you?

Hi Jody the Dubl Duck is shaving really well in fact she's already lined up for tomorrows SOTD, I was looking at a big 8/8 on Ebay that ended last friday and was wondering if you snagged it? It was a real nice looking razor broken scales but the blade looked great.

Nope, having to curb by chopper acquisition for now. Have plenty. Want to restore the 3 I have and go from there. Learning to hone too. So far can set a bevel on a King 1k and get it shave ready on the coticule to then finish off with some Crox on a pasted paddle. Slowly slowly though.
Loving the TI btw, I've ordered a matching brush from Rod Neep and will email you pics when it arrives next week

Absolutely super job with that. I love the formal flow. And I really like the wedge treatment.

The bottom photo reminds me of a smiley sticking its tongue out. Pretty cool.
