First attempt at handmade scales
I made these out of walnut. I used a piece of copper for the spacer and installed my Henry martin blade. Satisfied for my first attempt.

Nice shape on those, and lovely walnut
The copper won't stay shiny for long unless you treated it with something? And I am uncertain about the shape you made; it is common to use a wedge, as opposed to a mere spacer.
Anyways, nice work!

Nice job, the shape of the scales flow well with the razor.

Thanked: 1936If that's your first attempt, you did a damn fine job! My first ones didn't look near that good. Would be nice to see a profile pic of the razor just sitting open on it's own tension. Thanks for sharing.
