Default Custom Titanium and Elmax Stainless 6/8

    Hello,

It has certainly been a busy summer for me. I have had little time to work on some of the things I love to do, such as building razors I did spend some time on a few custom knife folder projects but mostly just the art of living.

Anyway, this recent shop build is one that I just let happen. It is often said that less is more and I would have to agree as it pertains to straight razor embellishments, but I could not help myself here. Got carried away with both the drill press and file work. Nothing too complex, just alot of it.

The blade is 6/8+ with a 1/4 hollow and made from Elmax, a third generation powder stainless steel. The scales are Titanium with stainless fasteners. Washers are brass. Weight is a well balanced 2.1 oz. Prolly could leave this thing laying outside in the front yard for a year and see very little patina (Not recommended, just a thought)

I shaved a full beard off with it this evening and was very impressed. Takes a very good edge and very stable in thin sections.

    Thanks for looking,

    Best Regards Ken

As soon as I see it, I think travel razor. I want to put in in my pack or toiletry bag. I think of durability, strength.

    Beautiful.

If you'd ever think about anodizing the Titanium, it is absurdly easy!

That's very nice indeed, that's a fair amount of high end engineering gone into that razor respect, I've just finished honing a new Dovo in stainless steel one of the most difficult razors I've ever honed eventually got a uniform bevel set right along the blade but it really did test my patience.
