Restored Shumates Tungsten 9/16+
Got this off Ebay for three bucks plus shipping. It was rusty, but the cutting edge was clear, so I grabbed it. I didn't unpin it at all because everything is original on it and perfect, so I just sandblasted all the rust out, carefully hand sanded it smooth, and hit it with mother's.
Slight smile on the edge, shaves beautifully. The scales are shinier than they look in the photos. Only a few pits remain in the blade. And it's just a hair shy of a mirror polish.
I love this razor, been using it the last three weeks.
Sorry for the camera phone pics, it's all I have.

Nice job. Here is a pic of mine along with a red devil. I took it to show someone that commercial razor companies did make blades with distinct smiling profiles so I only captured the blades. My Shumate is also a great shave and so is the Red Devil.

Re: Restored Shumates Tungsten 9/16+
The tungsteel ones look to have more of a smile on them than this tungsten one. I'd love to get hold of one of those as well. This one is my second shumate and they're both excellent. It just feels good in my hands even.
